What it is

MITOboost Protein Powder is a strawberry-flavored shake that combines rice protein with a broad vitamin and mineral panel and the mitochondrial cofactors found in MITOboost capsules: N-acetyl-L-cysteine, acetyl-L-carnitine (MitoCarn™), alpha-lipoic acid, and malic acid, plus plant compounds from green tea, broccoli seed (TrueBroc®), and trans-resveratrol. The vitamins and minerals come in active or chelated forms, including methylfolate (Quatrefolic®), methylcobalamin, and TRAACS™ bisglycinate zinc and manganese.

Who it's for

This shake is for someone who needs calories, protein, and micronutrients in one serving and whose practitioner also wants support for cellular energy production, antioxidant defense, immune function, and the body's natural detoxification pathways. It suits a child or adult with a small appetite or low body weight who does better with a drink than with a handful of capsules. The protein is plant-based rice protein.

Format and how to take

A powder, strawberry flavor, 414 g per container (about 14 scoops). The label's suggested use: mix 1 scoop (29.6 g) with 8 to 10 ounces of the beverage of your choice to the desired thickness, once daily or as recommended by your health care professional. Other ingredients: natural flavors, organic beet root (for color), guar gum, ascorbyl palmitate, gum acacia, xanthan gum, organic rebaudioside A, and silicon dioxide.

The label states it is formulated to be free of allergens derived from gluten and yeast, with no artificial colors or flavors, and makes no statement about milk, soy, or tree nuts.

Precautions

From the label: consult your physician before use if you are pregnant or nursing.
