Ordering and delivery
7 questions
Where do you ship?
Within the United States, and to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and Greece. If your country does not appear at checkout, we cannot ship there yet.
How quickly do orders go out?
Orders are processed within 1 to 7 business days, Monday to Friday, excluding US holidays. Items we have in stock usually leave within 1 to 2 business days. Some products are ordered fresh from production when you buy them, and those can take up to 7.
Orders travel with USPS, UPS, FedEx or DHL Express, depending on your address and the option you pick at checkout. The carrier works out the rate from your address and the weight of the order.
When will my order arrive?
Count processing first, 1 to 7 business days, then transit. As a general guide, US orders arrive 3 to 7 business days after they ship, and international orders take longer. Dates shown at checkout or on a tracking page are the carrier's estimates, not promises from us. Weather, customs and busy periods can move them.
How do I track my order?
You get an email with a tracking number as soon as the order ships. Carrier updates can lag behind the parcel. If tracking has not moved for several business days past the estimate, write to order@asdhelp.com and we will open an inquiry with the carrier.
Will I pay customs or import taxes?
Possibly. Import duties, taxes and customs fees are set by the destination country. They are not included in our prices or shipping rates, and the recipient pays them. Customs checks can also add a few days.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Write to order@asdhelp.com with your order number as soon as you can. Changes are usually possible only before the order is processed. Once it has shipped we cannot change it, and the refund policy applies.
Something arrived damaged, or is missing.
Send a photo and your order number to cs@asdhelp.com and we will sort it out with you.
Returns and refunds
4 questions
What can I return?
Unopened items, within 30 days of purchase, with a return authorization from us.
How do I start a return?
Email cs@asdhelp.com and ask for a return authorization. Put a copy of it in the parcel so we can tell who it came from.
When do I get my money back?
We email you once the return has arrived and been inspected, and tell you whether the refund is approved. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days. Banks and card companies can take a little longer to post it. If more than 15 business days have passed since approval, write to cs@asdhelp.com.
I received the wrong item.
Write to cs@asdhelp.com with your order number and a photo of what arrived. We will put it right.
Products and quality
6 questions
What does ASDHelp make?
Our own line of dietary supplements: vitamins, minerals, amino acids, probiotics, enzymes and botanicals. Many come as drops, sprays, powders, lozenges or chewables, because capsules do not suit everyone.
Are your products approved by the FDA?
No, and no dietary supplement is. In the United States, supplements do not go through FDA approval before sale. The maker is responsible for safety and honest labeling. Our products are supplements, not medicines, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
Where are they made?
All ASDHelp products are manufactured in the United States, in cGMP facilities. cGMP stands for current Good Manufacturing Practice, the FDA's quality rules for how supplements are made, tested and labeled.
How do I check ingredients and allergens?
Each product page lists the full ingredients from the label, and its Read the label section shows the label artwork at full size. Allergen statements are printed on the label. If a page and the printed label disagree, go by the label in your hand and tell us.
Can I see batch documentation?
Email cs@asdhelp.com with the product name and the lot number printed on the container. We will tell you what documentation is available for that batch.
How should I store supplements?
Somewhere cool and dry, with the lid closed, out of direct sun and out of reach of children. Check the date on the container before use.
Taking supplements
8 questions
General guidance. Your practitioner's advice comes first.
How much should I or my child take?
Follow the suggested use printed on the label. Label servings are written for adults unless the label says otherwise. A child's amount depends on age, weight and what else they take, so it should be set by your physician or a qualified practitioner.
My child cannot swallow capsules. What are the options?
How should we introduce something new?
One product at a time, starting at the lowest serving on the label. Give it two to four weeks before adding the next one, and keep short notes on sleep, appetite and digestion. That way you and your practitioner can tell what is doing what.
With food or without?
- Vitamins A, D, E and K absorb better with a meal that contains some fat.
- B vitamins and vitamin C can go either way. With food is gentler on the stomach.
- For powders and electrolytes, follow the label.
Keeping the same time each day helps a routine stick.
Can we combine supplements with medication?
Tell your doctor about each medication and supplement before starting anything new. Some nutrients interact with medicines. Vitamin K, for example, can work against blood thinners. Do not stop or change a prescribed medication on your own.
Are they suitable during pregnancy or nursing?
Ask your healthcare provider first. Safety data in pregnancy and breastfeeding is limited for many supplements, and needs differ.
How long before we notice anything?
Supplements are not quick fixes. Nutrition works over weeks and months, and people respond differently. We cannot promise an outcome. Track changes with your provider.
What if there is a reaction?
Stop using the product and contact your healthcare provider. Please tell us too at cs@asdhelp.com, so we can record it. In the United States you can also report to FDA MedWatch on 1-800-FDA-1088.
Speech Essentials
7 questions
What is Speech Essentials?
A daily dietary supplement that combines folinic acid (calcium folinate) with active forms of vitamins B12, B6 and B2. It supports normal methylation, nervous-system function, focus and energy.* It is not a drug and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
Is it the same as leucovorin?
It contains the same folate molecule. Folinic acid, also called calcium folinate or 5-formyltetrahydrofolate, is the compound prescription leucovorin is based on. Speech Essentials is a dietary supplement. It is not a drug, it is not FDA-approved, and it is not a substitute for any prescribed medication.
Why folinic acid instead of folic acid or methylfolate?
Folinic acid is an already-reduced folate that cells can use directly, without the conversion step synthetic folic acid needs. It is also the form used in the published research, partly because it can reach the brain by an alternate route when the main folate receptor is blocked.
Why does the label list adenosylcobalamin and hydroxocobalamin, not methylcobalamin?
Because those are the forms we use. Both are active forms of B12 that the body converts onward, and hydroxocobalamin converts to both the methyl and adenosyl forms. Go by the Supplement Facts panel.
Can I open the capsule?
Yes. Open it and mix the contents into a small amount of food. That also makes it easier to give a part serving when your practitioner asks for one.
Should we change diet?
Some practitioners suggest checking fortified flour, cereals and multivitamins for synthetic folic acid. Where folate-receptor antibodies have been found, some also discuss reducing dairy, since cow's-milk proteins can raise those antibodies (Ramaekers 2008). Decide diet changes with your clinician.
Is this the same product as on asdhelp.co?
Yes. Speech Essentials here is the Improved formula sold there. asdhelp.co is our dedicated Speech Essentials site, where you will also find the Pro formula. The research behind it is in our Research Library here as well.
Protocols and learning
4 questions
What is a protocol?
A considered starting point: a small set of products that work together, such as the Gut, Sleep, and Brain and body protocols. Each product in a protocol is also sold on its own.
Do I have to buy the whole set?
No. One click adds the whole protocol to your cart, and you can remove anything you do not need before you pay.
Is there a price benefit?
Yes. When your cart holds three or more items from the same protocol collection, 10% comes off those items automatically. No code needed.
Where can I read about an ingredient?
The knowledge base has an article for each of 101 ingredients: what it is, what it does in the body and what to watch for. Product pages link straight to the ingredients they contain.
