Fermented GABA, 200 mg per two chewable tablets, sweetened with xylitol and stevia. Supports calm, relaxation, and restful sleep.
What it is
GABA Lozenges deliver gamma-aminobutyric acid, one of the body's main calming neurotransmitters, as a chewable tablet. The label describes it as a proprietary form of GABA made by a natural fermentation process; the write-up names Lactobacillus hilgardii, a bacterium also used to ferment vegetables, as the organism. Each two-tablet serving supplies 200 mg. The tablets are built on an F-MELT base and sweetened with xylitol and stevia leaf extract.
Who it's for
GABA is a naturally occurring amino acid in the brain and the main inhibitory neurotransmitter of the central nervous system. As a supplement it is used to support a sense of calm, relaxation, a healthy response to occasional stress, restful sleep, and normal nervous system function. The chewable format is for anyone who does not swallow capsules, including a child, with a practitioner's guidance, since the label gives no children's dose.
Format and how to take
Sixty chewable tablets, 30 servings. Recommended use from the label: chew two tablets per day, or as directed by your health-care practitioner. Store at room temperature. The label gives no children's dose, so ask your practitioner about use for children. Taste is not described in the sources beyond natural flavors and the xylitol and stevia sweetening.
Ingredients
Per 2 tablets: gamma-aminobutyric acid 200 mg.
Other ingredients: xylitol, F-MELT, vegetable stearates, microcrystalline cellulose, citric acid, natural flavors, stevia leaf extract (Stevia rebaudiana), pharmaceutical glaze. F-MELT is a registered trademark of Fuji Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.
Does not contain gluten, dairy, soy, or GMOs (label statement). The Ecwid copy calls the tablets vegan; the label does not say so, and pharmaceutical glaze is listed, so consider that claim unconfirmed. The label carries no allergen statement.
Precautions
Store at room temperature and keep out of reach of children. The label carries no pregnancy, nursing, or medication warning, and the sources list no interactions. If any of those apply to you, ask your practitioner before use. The tablets contain xylitol, a sugar alcohol.
