Calm Support
A daytime calm product on top of the Daily Base. Adults only for the ashwagandha core; a gentle spray for children.

Who it's for
For adults who want support for a relaxed, settled state and a healthy response to everyday stress. Not in pregnancy, nursing, liver disease, thyroid disease or with thyroid medication. Children: the practitioner-directed spray only.
About this protocol and the studies behind it
From the studies
In a 60-day randomized placebo-controlled trial, adults under chronic stress who took an ashwagandha root extract had lower perceived-stress scores and about 28 percent lower serum cortisol than placebo (Chandrasekhar 2012, PMID 23439798). A meta-analysis of 12 trials found the same direction with low certainty (Akhgarjand 2022, PMID 36017529).
Adult
In the protocol
-
Calming Cortisol
Daytime calm core
Ashwagandha, L-theanine and Relora. Adults only. Stop and seek care for yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, pain under the right ribs or unusual tiredness.
$60.98 -
$28.00
-
Vitamin D3 Micellized
Vitamin D, K-free
One drop, not one dropper. Chosen without K2 so it adds nothing for anyone on a blood thinner.
$28.00 -
Magnesium Night
Magnesium and evening wind-down
The protocol's only magnesium. Contains 0 mg vitamin B6.
$72.00
Optional add-ons
-
GABA CoFactors Spray Tonic
As-needed calm spray
L-theanine 30 mg per serving: mild, for the moment before a known stressor. Fine alongside the daytime core.
$36.00
Alternatives: instead of, not with
-
GABA Lozenges
No-ashwagandha alternative, evening
A deliberately mild option; oral GABA has limited evidence. Use instead of Calming Cortisol, not with it.
$58.00 -
Brain Calm
Serotonin-pathway alternative
GABA, L-theanine, chamomile and 50 mg of 5-HTP with B6 and magnesium. Contains 5-HTP: not with an antidepressant or any other serotonin-active medicine without your prescriber; for a child only under a practitioner's direction, as the label says. Use instead of Calming Cortisol, not with it, and never with another 5-HTP product.
$66.26 -
Glycine Powder
Evening alternative, no magnesium, no hormone
Use instead of Magnesium Night, not with it.
$32.00
Child, practitioner-directed
Practitioner-directed. The spray carries no 5-HTP, lithium, huperzine, ashwagandha or meaningful B6; Brain Calm is the practitioner-directed option for a child who can swallow capsules.
In the protocol
-
GABA CoFactors Spray Tonic
Daytime calm, as needed
L-theanine 30 mg per serving, far below the trial dose, so supportive rather than strong. The label asks for a practitioner's OK for minors.
$36.00 -
Spectrum Formula + Iron Chewable
Multivitamin with iron
The single source of iron, iodine, vitamin A, vitamin D, zinc and B6 in the protocol. Iron overdose is dangerous for children: keep it locked away.
$39.98 -
$28.00
Optional add-ons
-
Brain Calm
Serotonin-pathway capsules, practitioner-directed
GABA, L-theanine, chamomile and 50 mg of 5-HTP with B6 and magnesium. The label gives no children's dose, so only with a practitioner; not with an antidepressant; not with the spray on the same day.
$66.26

How to start
- Daily Base first, for two weeks.
- Add Calming Cortisol, or one of its alternatives instead. One daytime calm product, never two.
- Judge at 4 to 8 weeks; the ashwagandha effect builds over about 60 days. Judge the spray over 2 to 4 weeks.
- Stop for drowsiness, stomach upset, any liver sign, or no change at the review point.
Read before you buy
- Ashwagandha: adults only; not in pregnancy, nursing, liver disease, thyroid disease or with thyroid medication.
- One daytime calm product: Calming Cortisol, GABA Lozenges or Brain Calm, never two.
- Brain Calm contains 5-HTP: not with antidepressants; for a child only under a practitioner's direction.
- On an antidepressant, a sedative or a thyroid medicine: talk to your prescriber first.
- Fish allergen in Omega-3 Mini.
- Designed so no calming, mineral or vitamin ingredient is doubled across products.
Therapy with a qualified clinician comes first; supplements are adjuncts. Talk to your child's healthcare provider before use.
Most of this evidence comes from adult trials of single ingredients. No protocol has been tested as a whole.
