Low-dose lithium (4.8 mg as orotate) in a vegetarian capsule that supports a calm, balanced mood and healthy nervous system function.
What it is
A low-dose lithium supplement: 4.8 mg of lithium per capsule, bound to orotic acid, a compound found naturally in the body. Orotate is the carrier; the trace mineral is the point. This is a low-dose, over-the-counter amount. The capsule is vegetarian (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose), the front label carries a hypoallergenic mark, and the label states the product is made under Good Manufacturing Practices with third-party quality certifications.
Who it's for
For an adult who wants trace-mineral support for a calm, balanced mood and healthy nervous system function, with a practitioner's agreement that it fits. The product copy describes lithium's role in supporting neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine, which play a part in regulating emotion, and in supporting a calm response to everyday stress. The label directs that lithium should not be used by pregnant or nursing women.
Format and how to take
A plain vegetarian capsule. The label's suggested use: 1 capsule, 2 times daily with food, or as directed by a healthcare professional. The label gives no children's dose; ask your practitioner about use for children. Store in a cool, dry place (59°F-85°F) away from direct light. Do not use if the shrinkwrap is broken or missing.
