Mood Support
The Daily Base with the fish oil built up to the dose the mood studies used, plus an optional curcumin adjunct.

Who it's for
For adults who want nutrient-level support for a steady mood: EPA-rich omega-3, vitamin D brought into the normal range and magnesium. Children: practitioner-directed only.
About this protocol and the studies behind it
From the studies
In meta-analyses of randomized trials, omega-3 formulas rich in EPA improved depression symptoms while DHA-led formulas did not (Liao 2019, PMID 31383846). The ISNPR practice guideline recommends 1 to 2 g of net EPA a day (Guu 2019, PMID 31480057). Vitamin D improved depression ratings in people with diagnosed depression (Vellekkatt 2019, PMID 29943744) but did not prevent it in replete adults (Okereke 2020, PMID 32749491).
Adult
In the protocol
-
Omega-3 Mini ×2
EPA-weighted core, 4 to 6 softgels a day
Two bottles. Even the label maximum falls short of 1 g of EPA; a DHA-led oil is not a substitute here.
$56.00 -
Vitamin D3 Micellized
Vitamin D, K-free
One drop, not one dropper. Chosen without K2 so it adds nothing for anyone on a blood thinner.
$28.00 -
Magnesium Night
Magnesium and evening wind-down
The protocol's only magnesium. Contains 0 mg vitamin B6.
$72.00
Optional add-ons
-
Curcumin Liquid
Curcumin adjunct
Not with blood thinners or before surgery; not in gallbladder disease; the black pepper raises levels of some drugs. The label's proprietary blend does not state curcuminoid milligrams, so the dose is an estimate.
$90.00 -
Sero Tonic+ Spray
Serotonin-pathway spray, practitioner-directed
16 mg of 5-HTP with 16 mg of L-tryptophan and B6 per serving. Contains 5-HTP: not with an antidepressant or any other serotonin-active medicine without your prescriber; for a child only under a practitioner's direction, as the label says. The only 5-HTP product in this protocol.
$38.00 -
Spectrum B Complex + Benfotiamine
Activated B-complex
Methylfolate, methyl-B12 and 20 mg of B6: the protocol's only B6 source. Not with Formula C.
$52.98
Child, practitioner-directed
Practitioner-directed. For children, an EPA-weighted oil is an adjunct only, under a practitioner.
In the protocol
-
Spectrum Formula + Iron Chewable
Multivitamin with iron
The single source of iron, iodine, vitamin A, vitamin D, zinc and B6 in the protocol. Iron overdose is dangerous for children: keep it locked away.
$39.98 -
$28.00
Optional add-ons
-
Vitamin D3 Micellized
Vitamin D, deficiency only
Only to correct a measured deficiency. We make no mood claim for vitamin D.
$28.00 -
Sero Tonic+ Spray
Serotonin-pathway spray, practitioner-directed
16 mg of 5-HTP with L-tryptophan and B6 per serving. The label asks for a practitioner's OK for minors; not with an antidepressant.
$38.00

How to start
- Daily Base first. Raise the omega-3 over 2 to 3 weeks; add curcumin last.
- Judge at 6 to 12 weeks.
Read before you buy
- Worsening mood or thoughts of self-harm need clinical care now, not more supplements.
- Fish oil plus curcumin is two blood-thinning-adjacent actives: not with warfarin, a DOAC or an antiplatelet drug without your prescriber.
- SeroTonic+ is the only 5-HTP product here: not with an antidepressant, and for a child only under a practitioner's direction. Tell your prescriber about everything you take.
- Fish allergen in Omega-3 Mini.
- Designed so no calming, mineral or vitamin ingredient is doubled across products.
Low mood that lasts needs a clinician. These are adjuncts to care, not a replacement. Talk to your child's healthcare provider before use.
Most of this evidence comes from adult trials of single ingredients. No protocol has been tested as a whole.
