What it is

Micellized Vitamin A delivers a concentrated dose of vitamin A in one water-based drop. Each drop provides 1,507 mcg RAE (about 5,000 IU): 99.5% as vitamin A palmitate, the preformed retinol form, and 0.5% as beta-carotene. Micellization breaks the fat-soluble vitamin into very small droplets that disperse in water, so it can be taken in a drink or with food without an oil carrier.

Vitamin A plays a role in vision, especially in low light, in normal immune function, and in the maintenance of skin and the mucosal linings of the airways and gut. This drop is for an adult, or a child under a practitioner's direction, who needs a measured amount of preformed vitamin A in a form that does not depend on a capsule or on dietary fat. Format and how to take

Liquid drops, 600 per bottle. Label directions: 1 drop daily with food or beverage, or as directed by a healthcare professional. The label stresses that the suggested use is 1 drop, not 1 dropper. There is no separate children's dose on the label, so ask your practitioner about use for children.

Per drop: Vitamin A 1,507 mcg RAE, 167% DV (99.5%, or 1,500 mcg RAE, as vitamin A palmitate; 0.5%, or 7 mcg RAE, as beta-carotene).

Other ingredients: Glycerin, purified water, polyethoxylated castor oil, citric acid, potassium sorbate.
