Gut Reset
One probiotic, one prebiotic, enzymes with meals, and barrier support for adults. Introduced one at a time.

Who it's for
For adults, and practitioner-dosed children, building a daily digestion routine. Persistent constipation, blood in the stool, weight loss or pain need a medical evaluation first.
About this protocol and the studies behind it
From the studies
In a randomized placebo-controlled trial, autistic children who took a digestive-enzyme supplement for three months improved on gastrointestinal symptoms and behaviour ratings (Saad 2015, PMID 26243847); a smaller double-blind crossover trial found no difference (Munasinghe 2010, PMID 20204691). Probiotic trials in autistic children have been safe but modest and mixed (Santocchi 2020, PMID 33101079).

How to start
- Week 1: the probiotic.
- Week 2: add the prebiotic, building the dose over the week. From week 2: enzymes with meals.
- Last: Gut Restore (adults).
- Judge stool comfort and regularity at 4 to 6 weeks, enzymes and behaviour at 12. Stop for a rash or worsening symptoms.
Read before you buy
- Probiotics are not for severely immunocompromised children, children with a central line, or preterm and newborn infants.
- Gut Restore and InflamaCare are adults only (zinc or iron above the child limits; Prop 65 notices).
- One probiotic at a time: Gut Flora, Phage Defense or SporeBio, never two.
- Spectrum Enzymes contains no wheat; Chewable Enzymes does. Bio Defence contains egg.
- Persistent constipation: see a clinician first. Polyethylene glycol is the guideline first-line treatment; the magnesium forms in our catalog are not laxative forms.
- Designed so no calming, mineral or vitamin ingredient is doubled across products.
Constipation that persists needs medical evaluation first. Talk to your child's healthcare provider before use.
Most of this evidence comes from adult trials of single ingredients. No protocol has been tested as a whole.
